How can Bespoke Learning help?

Curriculum Support

Maths and Literacy

Curriculum support is all about helping students feel more confident with their schoolwork. I’m here to guide them through tricky problems, help them understand what the teacher is asking, and make sure they don’t feel overwhelmed.

Whether it’s breaking down a big task into smaller, manageable steps or just offering a different approach to learning, I’m will take the stress out of independent schoolwork. The goal is to help students feel in control and set them up for success—not just to get through the work, but to really understand and own what they’re learning!

Orton Gillingham Tuition

Orton-Gillingham (OG) is a highly structured way of teaching reading and writing, designed to help children really get to grips with literacy. It’s been around for decades and is backed by research, so it’s proven to work! OG combines a step-by-step, systematic approach with fun, multi-sensory techniques—visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning—to make phonics stick.

The OG approach underpins everything I do at Bespoke Learning because it is tailored to each student, so no prior knowledge is needed unless the tutor has already covered it. It’s all about taking it at the right pace and making sure every step is understood before moving on.

Morphology

Morphology is all about understanding how words are built. It’s like breaking down words into their smaller parts—prefixes, suffixes, and roots—that each carry their own meaning. By learning about these word parts, students can figure out the meaning of new words they’ve never seen before, which makes reading and writing much easier. It’s a handy tool for tackling tricky words and spelling, and it helps students understand the structure of language in a way that just makes sense. Plus, once they get the hang of it, they can start using those word parts to figure out even bigger words, and it boosts their confidence too!
